Peter Quill also known as "Starlord" is caught when attempting to steal an infinity stone disguised as a metal orb. He teams up with four others of various races to save the galaxy, when the stone falls into the wrong hands. Following the classic Marvel genre, this is an action-comedy chocked full of one liners that will have you laughing out loud. What is special about Guardians of the Galaxy is that instead of there being a couple of hilarious points, strategically placed along the storyline, there are tons of jokes all over the place. The soundtrack comprised of popular 80's music hit the top of the charts on iTunes when it was released.
Throughout the movie the characters show amazing perseverance. Overcoming great loss is the one thing they all have in common. Without perseverance they would not have been able to succeed. At the beginning of the movie it seems that the characters will never mix and be able to work together. Overcoming the challenges not only presented by their enemies but by each other was a major part in their final success.
When I first saw this movie in IMAX 3D I saw it with some of the most positive people I know, which definitely contributed to how much I enjoyed the movie. As we left our stomachs hurt from laughing so much. I always liked Marvel movies, but they really kicked it up a notch with Guardians of the Galaxy. At the end of the day, it was the best movie I have ever seen. I hope you get the opportunity to see it too.
It is great to see all of the characters come together in this movie in a hilarious way. The chemistry of the characters and the quality of the actors make this the best Marvel movie ever.
