-Marcus Tullius Cicero
It's a story co-written by a retired PGA tour member, about a Businessman who is always busy and is trying desperately to be the best at everything he does. His latest pursuit has been golf. One day he enters a tournament where he is paired with a tour player. He sees this as an opportunity to show off and make a connection in a high place. He plays absolutely terribly and ends up snapping his putter over his knee. At the end of the match he is told by Davis Love (the tour player he was playing with) to go talk to Will Dunn or "The Old Pro".
I will try not to spoil the book here! He learns from "The Old Pro" lessons about life and golf, and by the end of the book he has gone from an insensitive Businessman to a kind compassionate man who is reconnected with his family and has a solid grip on what life is about. This riveting book inspired me in many ways and I hope you will read it too!
